Calligraphy is the art form of writing in the world, of which ‘Chinese Calligraphy’s is a traditional

Chinese line art based on the calligraphic style of Chinese characters. In a broader sense,

calligraphy refers to the laws of writing verbal symbols. In other words, calligraphy is the art of

writing in accordance with the characteristics of words and their meanings, with their stylistic

strokes, structures and chapters, so as to make them aesthetically pleasing works of art. The necessary

tools are brush, ink and Chinese paper. Calligraphy in Chinese characters is an expressive art created

by the Han people and is known as: poetry without words, dance without lines; painting without

pictures, music without sound.

Chinese Calligraphy has a very good basis in life, and many perfect pieces of calligraphy exist in the

form of letters, poetic manuscripts, inscriptions, epitaphs, plaques, screens, and interior decorations,

most of which are characterised by the complimentary nature of the textual content and the artistic

beauty of calligraphy. Chinese calligraphy interacts with Chinese painting, seal cutting, dance, music

and other art forms.
